Bath day 🐶🐶

If you are a dog owner, you know they can get a little funky every once in a while. That was the case with my two pups. With the rainy season and a constantly muddy backyard, its hard to keep these pups clean. So today was bath day for them once again. There is a place locally where I live, you can take your pups to wash them (you pay by the minute). The water comes out warm and they provide the soap (usually). Sometimes their shampoo is empty so I always bring my own. I’ve tried washing my dogs at home in the bathtub but that is just a disaster. It is way more convenient to do it outside the house. Once we walk back home from the pet wash place they are dry and no mess in the house. I am thankful my pups are always calm and well behave during the bathing process. They actually enjoy it I think. I love how they smell and feel so clean after a bath.

So cute! My mother takes both of my parents dogs in the car to get theirs done by a lady that does them and when one of the dogs goes in the car they make the loudest noises! One dog hates the car and one doesn’t care!
@Hulk Oh yeah I’ve looked into grooming services and just for a dog bath it can get pretty expensive. Haircuts are even more expensive. To save money I do it myself but I don’t really mind it. I think my pups prefer that I do it anyway because they are more comfortable around me. Speaking of car rides, one always gets motion sickness and throws up if the ride is longer than 15 minutes. I need to look into medication for him because I’d like to take them up to the mountains or the beach eventually. I think they’d like that.
Your dog is amazing. I wish I had a dog.
@Prospero thank you! Also maybe you’ll be able to adopt a dog one day.
They look lovely! I usually bathe my dogs at home since there aren’t any places nearby where I can take them for a wash. Luckily, the water here is free, so I don’t run into any issues when it’s time to bath them.
@freelancermaria Baths at home are definitely an option, if I had small dogs I would probably do the same thing. 🙂
To have a dog that is calm during taking their bath is so beautiful. It makes bathing them easier and also encourages the owner to do the routine often instead of worrying how they would react if they have their bath.
@Henrywrites Thanks, yeah they are both very calm when I give them a bath. I try to help out with that by saying things like “Good boy” and giving them lots of positive reinforcement during the bathing process.
